Baksana is a high-quality homewares brand known for our premium, luxurious, and long-lasting products. Whether you have a Baksana duvet cover set, comforter, sheets, or throws, you want to keep your bedding in top condition to ensure product longevity and most importantly a comfortable and restful night's sleep. Proper care will not only help extend the life of your bedding, but it will also ensure that you sleep in a fresh and clean environment. Follow the tips below to help you care for your Baksana bedding;

ALWAYS Read the care label:
Before washing your bedding, take a moment to read the care label. This will indicate the best temperature, detergent, and washing method for your specific items. Some Baksana bedding, such as our Goose Down Duvet Inners and Pillows, may require special care and should be hand washed or dry cleaned.

Wash frequently:
It is recommended to wash your sheets, pillowcases, and other bedding items at least once a week in warm water. Dirt, oils, and sweat can accumulate on your bedding, so regular washing is necessary to maintain cleanliness. Additionally, frequent washing helps to eliminate any allergens that may be present, such as dust mites or pet dander. Some Baksana products like the Bergama Towels sometimes need 5-6 wash and dry cycles before they become fully absorbent.

Use a gentle detergent:
Choose a gentle detergent when washing your bedding to avoid damaging the fibers. Harsh chemicals, such as bleach, can weaken the fabric and cause it to yellow over time. Additionally, avoid using fabric softeners, as they can reduce the absorbency of your sheets. Baksana's Bamboo Towels in darker colours can be very sensitive to bleaching agents in detergents. It's recommended to look at the ingredients in your detergents before use to ensure your products stay in the best condition for years to come.

Tumble dry on low heat:
Tumble-drying your bedding on a low-heat setting is the best way to avoid shrinkage or damage. If possible, remove the bedding from the dryer while still damp and hang or lay flat to air dry. This will prevent any wrinkles and maintain the shape of your items. We also recommend finishing our Oxford Flannel Sheets in the dyer to reduce the amount of pilling that can naturally occur in brushed cotton sheets.

Store bedding properly:
Proper storage is also important for maintaining the condition of your Baksana bedding. Store your items in a cool, dry place to avoid mold and mildew growth. Fold or roll items neatly and place them in a drawer or storage container. This will keep your bedding looking neat and organised.

By following these tips, you can extend the life of your Baksana bedding and enjoy a more comfortable sleeping experience. A well-cared-for bedding set will last for years to come and provide you with a fresh and clean sleeping environment each night. So, make sure to give your Baksana bedding the attention and care it deserves.
